SCHOOL CLOSED

In the continued spirit of transparency we the board members of Bedgebury wish to update our parents and staff on the situation regarding notice of closure of the school. Following falling pupil numbers, on 13 April we announced a proposal to merge with Bethany School. Staff at both schools worked hard to help pupils and parents with the proposed merger. When we heard on 16 May that Bethany was pulling out of the merger, we with sadness announced closure of the senior school from July 7, the end of term. At this stage we were hoping to maintain the Junior School as a separate entity and the Riding Centre also as an individual concern, whilst selling the main school and grounds.
