Belmont Grosvenor represents the merger of two highly successful schools. Belmont-Birklands and Grosvenor House School, both established in 1908 in the renowed Duchy area of Harrogate.
The increasing success of both schools led to the need for more space to accommodate the growing demand for places and in September 2001 the schools joined on one site at Swarcliffe Hall, Birstwith, just outside Harrogate.
This elegant and substantial early nineteenth century Grade Two listed building stands in twenty acres of beautiful countryside overlooking the Nidd Valley. The school is a charitable trust, has a board of governors and a flourishing Parent Teacher Association.
