Welcome to our website where you will find a brief outline of life at Headington Prep and our aims and aspirations.

We have around 280 pupils, with girls from age 3 to 11 and boys for the Nursery year only. We are situated in close proximity to our Senior School in a rambling Victorian house, with numerous purpose-built extensions, surrounded by around 3 acres of wooded gardens and a sports field.

We offer a broad education with emphasis on the enjoyment of life and all it has to offer. Academic success is achieved through cultivating a sense of excitement and enthusiasm for learning from the earliest age.

There is also an emphasis on having fun, with trips to places of interest, plays, form assemblies, concerts and workshops. Numerous after school and lunch time clubs are offered, together with sporting activities and visiting speakers.

Pupils are encouraged to become confident individuals with an awareness of and respect for others and their environment. They learn about themselves as part of a community where they are taught values such as tolerance, consideration, responsibility and generosity. They develop the independence to tackle problems and to overcome difficulties for themselves at the same time as learning how to help and encourage others to succeed.
