Princethorpe College is a co-educational independent Catholic day school welcoming pupils of all denominations; it is the senior school of the Warwickshire Catholic Independent Schools Foundation, a charitable trust. The Junior School and Nursery, Crackley Hall, for children from 2.9 to 11 years, is on a separate campus in nearby Kenilworth. Princethorpe College has about 720 pupils aged between 11 and 18. Children who want to come to Princethorpe sit examinations in English, mathematics and verbal reasoning, usually at 11 or 13 and at other ages as space allows. Those entering at 13 or 14 sit an additional examination in French. Pupils from other schools may join the Sixth Form at Princethorpe after their GCSE courses.
The school started in Leamington in the late 1950s moving to Princethorpe in 1966 and occupying a beautiful former Benedictine monastery, rich in history but extended and up-dated to provide twenty-first century facilities.
Princethorpe College provides children with a caring, Christian environment, meets their needs and develops talents, confidence and self-esteem. We encourage our pupils to be honest and to think about those around them. One of our aims is to put young people on the road to happy and fulfilled lives.
