The school was established in 1934 and moved to its present site in 1946. Although the school is situated on the outskirts of Andover town centre and therefore close to road and rail links, the pupils are able to enjoy the benefits of having 8 acres of lovely grounds.
The school has expanded and developed over the years, and that development will continue in the future. Rookwood comprises three departments - The Rookery, accommodating the Pre-School and the Pre-Preparatory year groups, Paddocks for the Preparatory Department and Highfield for the Seniors.
