St John's Beaumont is a weekly and full boarding and day preparatory school for boys set in grounds of 70 acres on the edge of Windsor Great Park. As a School committed to a 'non selective' entrance criteria, we are immensely proud of our boys' achievements. As a single sex School we are able to offer a curriculum dedicated entirely to the needs of our pupils, ensuring that their academic, pastoral, creative and sporting potential are realised to the full. Academic success is prized highly at St John's but is achieved alongside a wealth of outstanding opportunities and excellence in Art, Music, Drama, Sport and Activities. At age 13, boys move to many of the top schools in the country including; St Paul's, Eton, Winchester, Westminster, Hampton, Tonbridge and Harrow.

Our academic curriculum challenges each boy to demonstrate exceptional progress and with additional elements that include Philosophy and our own 'Magis' programme, pupils are able to explore concepts and opinions outside the standard curriculum. St John's boarding aims to foster communication, independence, organisation, tolerance and self discipline. Our boarders enjoy a wide range of evening activities and academic tutor time. With board games, numerous Snooker and Table Tennis tables, a driving simulator and other computer and video entertainment, the boarding community are very well catered for. This is in addition to weekly special events and culinary themes. The fact is however, that one is more likely to find them playing soccer, rugby, cricket, tennis or a myriad of imaginary or hastily arranged impromptu games outside, given half the chance. A state of the art sports complex is in construction for June 2009.

A broad and vibrant creative curriculum is an essential accompaniment to a rigorous academic environment. Our Art department is expertly run and enormously popular. Every boy exhibits work in at least one major annual exhibition and has the opportunity to work with a wide variety of materials. There are regular and numerous Drama productions every year ranging from Shakespeare to the main school musical and over 75% of boys in the Upper School learn at least 1 musical instrument. Last year saw two Choir tours, a broadcast, CD recording and 16 concerts / performances. Activities (nearly 50 in total) are a fundamental part of life at St John's and include Real Tennis, Polo, Archery, SCUBA diving, Fly Fishing, Golf, Mandarin and Film Making.

Our commitment to sport is also significant. Boys play Games (Rugby in Winter / Easter terms and Cricket in Summer Term) at least 4 times a week. Tennis is part of the curriculum and every boy swims at least once a week in our own 25m indoor swimming pool. Located less than 10 minutes from Junction 6 of the M4 and 2 minutes from Junction 13 of the M25, access from London is convenient.

St John's is a Roman Catholic School that welcomes families of other religious denominations.
